On June 1, 1896 Margaret Louise Ring, or possibly Louise Margaret, was born in the City of St. Louis at her parents home at 3878 N. 11th Street. Her mother Margaret Fussner was born in St. Louis in 1869 and her father, Michael Ring was born in Germany in 1870. The birthplace of Margaret Ring was torn down to build Interstate 70.
The City of St. Louis Birth Register below provides some of these details. The entry is the second from the top on the left page. Although she went through life as Margaret, and her obituary gives her name as "Margaret L.," the birth register records her name as "Louise Margaret." The scratch out brings doubt to its reliability though. There is also an illegible note in the remarks. This post will be updated if it can be deciphered.
